One of our favorites — New American fare with delicious entrées and cocktails, on the first floor of the historic Nutt House Hotel.

An excellent breakfast and lunch spot — fresh-baked pastries (some gluten-free) and great coffee. Open 7am–2pm, Mon–Sat.

Delicious wood-fired pizza, a playful atmosphere, and live music — they even have a great gluten-free crust. Open seasonally.

A fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon — live music, food trucks, and great beer. Open Saturdays, 12–3pm.

Famous for burgers "as big as your…" — well, you get the idea. Open Tuesday–Saturday on Fall Creek Highway.

A beautiful walk-and-shop town square — boutiques, antiques, restaurants, and Texas history all around the courthouse.

"Broadway on the Brazos." Check the ticket calendar and treat yourself to a show in a gorgeous historic opera house.

Upscale home, gift, and clothing — a lovely stop for something to bring home.

Make an afternoon of it: Witherspoons Antique Mall (600 E Pearl St), Vintage Roads Antique Mall (537 S Morgan St), and Wagon Yard Antiques.

Get your cowboy gear before the trip home — boots, hats, and everything in between.
